Product Features
Its machining, corrosion and mechanical properties have many characteristics: fast heat dissipation, light weight, good rigidity, certain corrosion resistance and dimensional stability, impact resistance, wear resistance, good attenuation performance and easy recovery. In addition, it has the characteristics of high thermal conductivity and conductivity, non-magnetic, good shielding and so on.

Scope of application
Magnesium alloy is widely used in portable instruments and automobile industry to achieve the purpose of light weight.
Although the specific gravity of magnesium alloy is heavier than that of plastic, the strength and elasticity per unit weight are higher than that of plastic. Therefore, under the condition of the parts with same strength, the parts of magnesium alloy can be thinner and lighter than that of plastic. In addition, since the specific strength of magnesium alloy is also higher than that of aluminum alloy and iron, the weight of aluminum or iron parts can be reduced without reducing the strength of parts.

Relative specific strength of magnesium alloy (ratio of strength to mass).The specific stiffness (ratio of stiffness to mass) is close to that of aluminum alloy and steel, and much higher than that of engineering plastics.

In the elastic range, the energy absorbed by magnesium alloy under impact load is half larger than that of aluminum alloy parts, so magnesium alloy has good seismic and noise reduction performance.

The melting point of magnesium alloy is lower than that of aluminum alloy. The tensile strength of magnesium alloy castings is equivalent to that of aluminum alloy castings, generally up to 250MPa and more than 600 MPa. The yield strength and elongation are also similar to those of aluminum alloy.

Magnesium alloy also has good corrosion resistance, electromagnetic shielding performance, which can be recycled 100%.
The stability of magnesium alloy parts is higher than that of high-pressure castings. The dimensional accuracy of casting line processing is high, and high-precision machining can be carried out.

Magnesium alloy has good die-casting performance, and the wall thickness of die-casting parts can reach 0.5mm. It is suitable for manufacturing various die castings of automobiles.

However, the linear expansion coefficient of magnesium alloy is very large, up to 25 ~ 26μM / m ºC, and  for aluminum alloy 23μM / m ºC, brass about 20μM / m ºC, structural steel 12μM / m ºC, cast iron about 10μM / m ºC, rock (granite, marble, etc.) is only 5 ~ 9μM / m ºC, and glass 5 ~ 11μm/mºC.

Magnesium alloy is an alloy composed of magnesium and other elements. It is characterized by low density, high specific strength, large elastic modulus, good shock absorption, greater impact load bearing capacity than aluminum alloy and good corrosion resistance. The main alloy elements are aluminum, zinc, manganese, cerium, thorium and a small amount of zirconium or cadmium. At present, magnesium aluminum alloy is the most widely used, followed by magnesium manganese alloy and magnesium zinc zirconium alloy.
The specific gravity of magnesium alloy is the lightest among all structural alloys. Therefore, the weight of aluminum or iron parts can be reduced without reducing the strength of parts. The specific strength of magnesium alloy is obviously higher than that of aluminum alloy and steel, and the specific stiffness is equivalent to that of aluminum alloy and steel. In the elastic range, the energy absorbed by magnesium alloy under impact load is greater than that of aluminum alloy, so magnesium alloy has good seismic and noise reduction performance. Under the same load, the damping performance is 100 times of that of aluminum and 300 ~ 500 times of that of titanium alloy. The case of 3C products (mobile phones and computers) should be able to provide superior anti-electromagnetic protection, while the magnesium alloy case can fully absorb electromagnetic interference with a frequency of more than 100dB. It has good texture. The appearance and touch texture of magnesium alloy make the product more luxurious, and it is not easy to corrode in the air.
